Purpose of the role

As part of our team in Germany, you will play a key role in supporting OCO Globals Solutions division with market and business intelligence for global trade and investment, combining a data-driven approach with first-hand insights.

Key Responsibilities

Under the management of the Solutions Team this role will:

  • Successfully manage delivery and commercials across a portfolio of assignments (in particular representation and FDI attraction contracts for North & Central American EDOs)
  • Identifying and contacting companies from different geographies (focus on DACH-region and Europe) who are planning cross-border investment to discuss expansion strategies
  • Telephone and face to face meetings with senior level executives providing specific location solutions and sector propositions. Follow up meetings as appropriate
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining great client relationships through effective client engagement
  • Support strategic advisory projects in international trade & investment
  • Attendance of relevant industry events to expand networks and identify investing companies
  • Developing and maintaining a network of relevant intermediaries and multipliers
  • Assisting with business development opportunities and contributing to proposals as required
  • Any other duties as required

Essential Criteria

  • University Degree in Economics, Economic Geography, International Business, or similar
  • 2-5 years of experience in economic development and/or international business development
  • Strong understanding of international economics, foreign direct investment and trade
  • Proven experience in project management, lead generation and outreach and achieving/exceeding targets
  • Excellent communication skills in German, English and Spanish
  • Committed team player with a high sense of responsibility and dedication
  • Excellent research and analysis skills, structured and thorough work
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to regularly travel
