JobsOhio Appoints OCO Global to Help Drive Foreign Direct Investment in Ohio

JobsOhio has appointed OCO Global as in-market consultants to represent its interests in Japan for foreign direct investment into Ohio. Japan is Ohio’s top market for both current international investment and active economic development projects. OCO Global brings a wealth of expertise and experience in attracting international investment to a variety of clients. They will be responsible for attracting companies in their respective markets to consider new location and expansion projects in Ohio for the purpose of creating jobs.

This marks significant progress in building out JobsOhio’s proactive promotional strategy in the international marketplace. Foreign Direct Investment is extremely important to Ohio’s economy and JobsOhio’s global approach. Ohio will be represented in Japan by OCO Global Managing Director Brian Shaw. Established in 2001 by Mark O’Connell, OCO Global has become a recognized leader in promoting domestic business attraction and foreign direct investment. Shaw, who is based in Tokyo, brings a global industry and government-based background in addition to extensive senior networks in Japan and wider Asia Pacific. For more than 20 years he has cultivated relationships with many major Asia Pacific corporations and institutions in a variety of senior trade and investment roles both regional and global. Previously, Shaw was Managing Director, Business at UK Trade & Investment, the world’s largest investment promotion agency from 2006-2010.
