A global chemicals company engaged OCO Global to support a location strategy for a USD 250 million industrial investment in North America.
The objective was to identify the optimal location to support long-term operational performance and de-risk a major capital investment.
How did OCO Global support?
OCO conducted a comprehensive site selection process across the U.S. and Mexico.
This included pre-qualifying a longlist of 56 industrial sites, followed by detailed assessment of costs, risks, and ecosystem factors such as talent availability, energy supply, infrastructure, and supply chain access.
A shortlist of six locations was developed, with OCO supporting in-depth site visits and due diligence, including engagement with local authorities, site owners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Outcomes
- Identified a preferred location for a USD 250M industrial investment
- Delivered two additional shortlisted locations as contingency options
- Provided a fully de-risked, evidence-based location decision
