Purpose of the role

The successful candidate will be based in OCO’s Head Office in Belfast.  They will support the IT manager in delivering IT services across OCO’s our offices via email, phone and in person.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Providing day to day 1st level support for both hardware and software for circa 160 staff companywide
  • Provide support for remote users, hybrid working and mobile devices
  • Ensuring that incidents and support requests are responded to in a timely manner and that all escalations are logged and assigned to the correct team members
  • Supporting setting up laptops and troubleshoot, repair and maintain computer equipment (e.g. desktop computers, printers, etc).
  • Maintain records of users and equipment
  • Manage Windows based IT Services such as email and file sharing delivered via Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams
  • Knowledge management: Work alongside managers across the business to develop better structures and processes for Knowledge management, Re-organize folders and documents, general maintenance of systems.
  • Help define and enforce security standards across the business
  • General maintenance of phone and email systems
  • Support the IT manager in delivering IT strategy

Essential criteria

  • Graduated with degree in computer science or related fields
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technologic skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a team

Desirable criteria

  • Experience or insight of knowledge management practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure AD and AWS
